‘Oppenheimer’ piles up nominations for 96th Academy Awards


The nominations for the 96th Academy Awards were announced Tuesday morning, with “Oppenheimer” sweeping 13 nods, surprising no one.

The atomic blockbuster was followed by “Poor Things” with 11 nominations, while “Killers of the Flower Moon” and “Barbie” also picked up several nods.

Jack Quaid (Prime Video’s “The Boys”) and Zazie Beetz (“Joker,” FX’s “Atlanta”) revealed this year’s Oscar noms live from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles.
