After much social media hype, Haider Mustehsan’s love song featuring Hania Aamir is finally out on all streaming platforms. Titled Dhanak, the song’s official music video premiered on YouTube on Thursday and has already garnered over 48,000 views.

Haider, who goes by HYDR professionally, last delighted fans with his 2023 song Tere Naal, featured on a local music platform. For those charmed by the singer’s seamless transition between Punjabi and English, Tere Naal was a groovy pop anthem with an energetic chorus. Dhanak, however, is all about serenading a lover.

The funky instrumental is not innovative, with the generic synths offsetting Haider’s soft vocal style at certain points. However, the overall misty ambiance strikes the right level of replayability for your usual electropop song.

Directed by Shahrukh Kazim with Ahsan Raza handling cinematography, the music video is saturated with sunlit visuals of Hania and Haider caught up in a tender romance. Shots of the couple hanging out casually are interspersed with candid, slow motion glimpses of Hania smiling into the camera endearingly.

Scenes of the romantic duo in the kitchen and embracing in a hammock highlight moments of everyday intimacy. Filmed at a mountainside spot with just the two of them gives the video a romantic getaway vibe.

Since the song’s release, Haider has taken to his Insta Story, asking people to share their first impressions. Expressing his joy, the musician has reshared compliments from other showbiz names including Miss Universe Pakistan, Erica Robins, who posted the song to her Insta Story with heart emojis.

Actor Yashma Gill also gave the song a shout-out, saying, “I had been waiting for this one,” whereas Haider’s sister and singer, Momina Mustehsan also piped in to promote Dhanak.

Previously, Haider and Hania set the internet ablaze with their Instagram posts, teasing the project. They shared similar images featuring the two of them gazing at each other lovingly, sparking intense speculation about the nature of their relationship. Fans were left wondering if the two were romantically involved or if this was a strategic move to promote a joint project.

Hania’s Instagram post, where she was seen holding onto Haider with a loving gaze, was accompanied by a caption that added fuel to the fire. She wrote, “Jaise koi falak tu khili jae. Har saans kyun yeh tarsaye. Phool sawan tujhse sharmaen” (Like a sky blooms, why does every breath yearn? Flowers shy in your presence). The poetic caption had fans speculating about the true nature of their relationship.
